Molli Durum: DJ, Producer, Entertainer

At just 15 years old, DJ and music producer Molli Durum is already making waves in the Dallas–Fort Worth entertainment scene. Known for her vibrant energy and ability to read a crowd, Durum is quickly building a reputation as one of the region’s most talented young performers.

Raised in Dallas since she was about a year old, Molli considers DFW home. The region’s diversity, culture, and vibrant music scene have played a major role in shaping her creative journey. She currently attends Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, where she studies in the dance conservatory. Being surrounded by talented young artists has helped strengthen both her creativity and work ethic.

Molli performs as an open-format DJ, meaning she can adapt her sets to fit a wide range of audiences and events. From school dances and community festivals to venue performances, she focuses on creating an immersive experience that keeps the energy high and the crowd engaged.

While she enjoys many styles of music, techno remains her personal favorite. The driving kick drum and powerful rhythm create an atmosphere that pulls listeners into the music and keeps the dance floor moving.

Her journey into DJing began in an unexpected way. While attending dance classes near an Italian restaurant, Durum noticed a new business being built next door. Curious, she and her family discovered it was Soundworks, a DJ academy. She enrolled in October 2024 and officially began training the following month. There, she learned the fundamentals of DJing and even landed her first live performance at a local bar.

Inspired to further expand her skills, Molli later enrolled in Cosmic Academy to study music production. Beginning in early 2025, she started creating her own tracks and developing her unique sound.

Like many performers, Molli has faced challenges along the way. Early on, she struggled to define which style of electronic music truly represented her and had to learn how to read different types of crowds. Mistakes during live sets also became valuable learning experiences that strengthened her confidence and professionalism.

One of her breakthrough moments came during the October 2025 Halloween Kids Fest at Green Elephant, where she performed her first officially booked set at a venue. The success of that performance led to additional invitations to return.

For Molli, music is deeply connected to movement. Having danced since the age of two, she approaches DJing with a strong understanding of rhythm and emotion. Her goal is simple: create moments where people feel connected through sound. As she continues to grow as both a DJ and producer, Molli Durum represents a new generation of artists emerging from the DFW creative community.
