Rachel Seideman: The Health Insurance Connoisseur

For Rachel Seideman, life in Dallas-Fort Worth began with soccer. Eighteen years ago, she moved to Texas to play for a junior college, never expecting the region would eventually become home. But somewhere between the energy of the Metroplex, the diversity of people, and the endless opportunities to connect with others, DFW became far more than a temporary stop. It became the place where she would build her life, her career, and ultimately rediscover herself.

Rachel is helping individuals, families, and small businesses navigate the often confusing world of health coverage. But her success did not come overnight, and it certainly did not come easily.

Rachel describes entering the insurance industry almost by accident, saying it “just kind of fell into place” during a past relationship. What began as an opportunity eventually became a calling rooted in service. While many people see insurance as numbers and paperwork, Rachel sees people first. “I tell my clients I am here to help,” she explains. “Whatever that may look like. Even if it means giving them away to someone else.”

That mindset has become the foundation of her reputation throughout DFW. In an industry built heavily on sales, Rachel built her business on relationships, honesty, and showing up for others. Still, there were seasons when everything felt uncertain.

Rachel seideman organizes and facilitates networking events

Starting in a commission-only business without an established network meant long days, endless networking, and constantly “pounding the pavement” searching for leads. Others questioned whether the struggle was worth it. Then came some of the hardest moments of her life. Rachel lost her mother while also going through a divorce around the same time, forcing her to rebuild emotionally, financially, and professionally all at once.

For a period, she stepped away and bartended just to make ends meet while trying to restart her insurance career from the ground up. But Rachel never stopped moving forward.

Instead of allowing heartbreak to define her, she leaned deeper into helping others. Serving clients, supporting businesses, and being present in the community gave her purpose during the darkest chapters of her life. That resilience is finally paying off. Rachel says returning to the office full-time this year transformed her business, producing more success in the last four months than she experienced all of last year combined.

Outside of business, Rachel has become deeply involved throughout DFW, serving with multiple chambers including the DFW Network Chamber.

Rachel has completed leadership programs, served on boards, and run her own networking meeting for years. Her dedication earned her consecutive Diplomat of the Month awards along with Volunteer of the Year recognition.

But above all else, Rachel says her greatest pride is her daughter, who is currently pursuing cosmetology school and following her own dreams. Now at 40, Rachel is embracing every chapter that shaped her.

Not the perfect moments. Not the easy moments. All of it.
