Born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, Terrance's path to becoming an internationally recognized DJ did not begin behind a turntable. It began as the manager of a nightclub in Chengdu, China. While overseeing events, he regularly found himself frustrated by unreliable DJs who often seemed more interested in drinking, playing pool, or scrolling through their phones than connecting with the audience. After one too many disappointing performances, Terrance made a decision that would change the course of his career. He would become the DJ himself.

Rather than simply learning how to mix music, Terrance focused on mastering the complete entertainment experience. Professional communication, crowd engagement, and event leadership became his trademarks. As both an emcee and hypeman, he developed a reputation for reading a room, energizing audiences, and ensuring every event exceeded expectations.
Soon after, Terrance and his wife relocated to Sanya, China, where they founded Sanya Events. The company quickly grew into one of the region's respected entertainment providers, opening doors to luxury resorts, international corporate clients, and large-scale festivals.
One of his longest-running partnerships came with the Golden Yacht Company, where DJ Mr T spent three years entertaining guests aboard luxury yachts cruising the South China Sea. His audiences included travelers from Russia, Ukraine, Great Britain, China, and many other countries, giving him valuable experience performing for diverse cultures and musical tastes.
As his reputation expanded, so did the caliber of the venues seeking his services. Throughout China, DJ Mr T performed at internationally recognized luxury properties including the MGM Grand, EDITION Hotel, The Mangrove, Mandarin Oriental, Autograph Collection, St. Regis, and the world-famous Atlantis Resort.

In the summer of 2019, DJ Mr T secured one of the defining contracts of his career at Atlantis Sanya. Performing daily at the resort's iconic Wave Pool, he entertained crowds that often exceeded 5,000 guests per day. Families, tourists, and visitors from around the world gathered for an immersive entertainment experience that combined music with fire performers, acrobats, and spectacular live production. The contract demonstrated his ability to command massive audiences while maintaining the high standards expected from one of Asia's premier luxury destinations.
Beyond resort entertainment, DJ Mr T became a sought-after performer for corporate productions and music festivals. He was contracted for numerous large-scale events, including Magic Show, an elaborate production presented by a major Chinese cosmetics company.
His festival résumé reached another milestone when he performed original music at the 2019 ISY Music Festival, taking the stage with his tracks "Party DaDong Hai" and "ISY."
The performance earned industry attention, leading to a feature in DJ Mag Asia and opening opportunities throughout Asia and Africa. His international schedule soon included performances in Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, South Africa, and Mauritius, further establishing his reputation as an entertainer capable of connecting with audiences across cultures and continents.
Today, DJ Mr T has brought that global experience home to the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, where he performs exclusively for weddings, corporate events, festivals, nonprofit galas, and private celebrations. His years of entertaining audiences from around the world have shaped a performance style that blends professionalism with high-energy interaction, making him as much an event host as he is a DJ.
